Bleach London Rosé Shampoo & Conditioner Review

It's certainly been a strange few weeks for us all while we adjust to our new normal - hope you're all doing well and staying safe at home. I thought I may as well use this time to do something I've always wanted to do  - dye my hair a crazy colour! What better time to experiment with your hair? If it all goes horribly wrong, who cares?! Nobody's going to see it!

I've always wanted to try pink in my hair but not permanent because I'm just not that brave.
I've seen that Bleach London have a lot of non-permanent hair colours and I've used some of their other hair products before in the past and loved them, so I thought I'd try their "rosé" hair dye that washes out in 1-3 washes. Unfortunately they didn't actually sell it in the shop that I went to and obviously, due to current circumstances, I couldn't just start shopping around everywhere... Luckily I did find their Rosé shampoo and conditioner which promises a 'soft pink rinse' to bleached/light blonde hair. Since I wanted more of a pastel pink tint and nothing too dramatic, I thought this would be perfect for me to try!

This shampoo and conditioner can be used for a few different reasons; maintaining already pink coloured hair, used on bleached/light blonde hair for a soft pink rinse or to combat unwanted green tones.

I had my hair done balayage last year, so the ends of my hair are bleach blonde and the top/roots of my hair is my natural mousy blonde colour. The colour obviously wasn't going to take on the top of my hair as it is way too dark.

BEFORE

Firstly I used the Rosé shampoo -  I applied it to wet hair which I had sectioned, as the underneath of my hair is slightly more yellow toned and so I wanted to make sure it was left on for slightly longer than the whiter parts of my hair to help it look more even. The directions on the bottle tell you to lather into wet hair, massage through to the ends and then rinse off, However, because I have fairly thick hair and wanted the colour to take as well as possible, I left it on for around 3 minutes before rinsing off. I could already see the light parts of my hair now had a pink tint after I'd washed off the shampoo!

I then used the conditioner, again on sectioned hair,  and followed the directions to massage into hair and leave on for 3-4 minutes. Before rinsing off I combed my hair making sure the conditioner covered all my hair. I really loved the conditioner as it made my hair feel SO soft!

AFTER

I was pretty pleased with the result, the colour took really well on the light bits of my hair and turned it a gorgeous pastel pink which is exactly what I was hoping for! I'm really impressed with it, especially as it's not actually hair dye and just a shampoo and conditioner! It's lasted quite well so far too, I've only washed my hair once since doing it (I used ordinary shampoo/conditioner) and it still has a soft pink tint to it.

If you're wanting to try out a different hair colour without fully committing to dye - I'd definitely reccommend the colour shampoo's and conditioner's from Bleach London. They're such a good price too at only £6.50 each!

Anyone else experimenting with their hair during lockdown?! Let me know!
