1. Book a holiday/ weekend away
If you haven't already planned your summer holiday or a weekend break, now would be the perfect time to do it. Having something to look forward to will make it a little easier to get out of bed on the miserable cold mornings! I know I definitely want to book something!
2. Go for a walk
There's nothing like a leisurely stroll around the countryside to clear the mind. It's one of my favourite things to do, getting all wrapped up and going on a walk in the fresh crisp air - away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, busy streets and noisy traffic. It's a great way to lift your mood.
3. Pamper yourself
Staying in on a cold night doesn't have be a bore, it's the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a pamper and give yourself time to rejuvenate after the busy festive season. After all, you just can't beat a nice hot bubble bath with all your favourite lotions and potions! You could even book a Spa Day for the ultimate pamper!
Why not treat yourself to a bit of retail therapy? Go and hunt for some bargains - no need to feel as guilty about spending when really you could end up making huge savings in the sales!
5. Spend less time on your phone/social media
Spending less time on my phone is something I'm vowing to do this month. Instead of scrolling through endless social media, try reading a book or finding a new box set to watch. There's even a setting on IPhone's where you can actually set a limit on your screen time, just incase you get tempted! I know it can be a hard habit to break, especially these days, but definitely one worth breaking.
What are some of your favourite things to do to give yourself a little pick-me-up during the duller days of January? I'd love to hear!
