It's got to that time of the year when the cold weather creeps in and our skin is in need of a little extra TLC. So, I've put together my Winter Skincare routine and products I've been loving to help my skin survive the cold!
- Nivea Micellar Rose Water Wash Gel Every morning I've been using this face wash to wake up my skin, and it also really helps prepare your face pre-make up for better application. It uses Rose water which has so many benefits for your skin and is a recurring theme in my current skincare routine as you'll find out below... One benefit is it reduces redness which my skin is prone to, especially this season!
- L'ORÉAL Fine Flowers Milk Cleanser I've been using this cleanser every night to remove my make up. I really like that it's a milk cleanser as it feels a lot less harsh on my skin and more nourishing compared to cleansers I've used in the past. It's like cleanser and moisturiser all in one!
- L'ORÉAL Fine Flowers Toner Following cleanser, I always use a toner to remove any last traces of make-up and excess oil. This toner is from the same collection as the milk cleanser above. It uses a blend of Rose & Jasmine for their soothing & protecting properties which is just what you need in the cold weather! I apply a small drop of this to a cotton pad and wipe over my face every morning and night.
- Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Oil Probably my favourite skincare product at the moment and believe it or not it's from Aldi! They brought out a whole skincare range which is basically a copycat, much more affordable version of Pixi Skincare. The Aldi rose oil is just £3.99 which is £22 cheaper than Pixi's best selling Rose oil , other than price, there really is no difference. It leaves my skin so soft and smooth. All you need is just a few drops to massage into your skin and it gives a gorgeous glow and is so moisturising.
- Lancôme Rénergie Nuit Face & Neck Cream Obviously the best way to combat dry skin in the winter months is to finish off your skincare routine with a good moisturiser! This face & neck cream from Lancôme is a little more on the pricy side but I find I only need to use a pea-size amount as a little goes a long way! It leaves my skin feeling instantly nourished.
- Simple Rich Moisture Sheet Mask I never used to be a fan of sheet masks and always
prefered the peel off ones but recently I can't get enough of them! This mask by Simple has been one of my favourites so far, I woke up the next morning and my skin felt and looked SO soft. I try to use a face mask once a week - usually on a Sunday for an end of week pamper!
What are your holy grail skincare products?
