All you need on Christmas eve

The 24th of December is by far my favourite day of the year and always has been.
Obviously I love Christmas Day too, but for me, nothing compares to the magic
of Christmas Eve, no matter how old you are. With only 2 days to go, I thought
I'd share a few things you need for a perfect Christmas Eve.

Going out for breakfast - For a few years now, me and my family have had a tradition of all going out for breakfast on Christmas Eve morning and I absolutely love it! After all, spending time with loved ones is what this season is all about!

Winter Walk - Get wrapped up and go for a walk after breakfast in the fresh winter air to really start the day off right. Or why not wait until it goes dark and go for an evening walk to look at all the Christmas lights on your street!

Christmas Candle - To really set the festive mood, you'll need a christmas scented candle! Yankee Candle have some of my favourite Christmas scents - They even have one called 'Christmas Eve'!

Baking - If candles aren't your thing, why not try baking some classic Christmas treats such as Mince Pies to make the house smell of Christmas! And you'll also have some goodies to feed Family & Friends that stop by!

Baileys - You just can't beat a glass of Baileys this time of year! Or if
you're feeling the cold, you can even add it to your hot chocolate or coffee
for a boozy hot drink, it is  Christmas after all!

Christmas Music - Should be on repeat all day, it's a rule. For some Christmas music inspiration
check out my Christmas playlist here

Festive Films - Snuggle up on the sofa and gather all your favourite Christmas classics like Home Alone, Elf and Love Actually for a movie marathon.

Snacks - You'll need plenty of snacks to help you through your movie marathon. Chocolates and cheese boards are a must!

Board Games - Challenge your family to a mobile phone ban and get everyone in one room to play some good old board games! Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit are always fun for all the family! You could even make up your own Christmas quiz games etc.

Presents - It's become somewhat of a tradition in our family to each open one present from under the tree on Christmas Eve night. Try not to get carried away though, one present and one present only!

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? Let me know in the comments!

Merry Christmas to you all!! Have a wonderful time!
